The game of Snakes and Ladders, also known as "Moksha Patam" in India, is believed to have originated in ancient India as a moral lesson game.  

The ladders in the game represented virtues such as honesty, charity, and humility, and climbing a ladder represented the progress towards a better life and salvation.  On the other hand, the snakes represented vices such as envy, anger, and greed, and sliding down a snake represented the fall from grace and a moral setback.

 The art collection is an exploration of the ancient Indian origins of the game and the embellishment elements it possessed, with the snakes representing our daily vices and the ladders as our virtues.  The collection reflects on the chance meetings, daily occurrences and moments in time that make us choose between our vices or virtues.
