Waiting until you're ready is the biggest lie we tell ourselves.

We call it preparation. Researching. Perfecting the plan before we take a single step. It feels responsible. It feels like the smart move. Most of the time it's just fear, dressed up in discipline.

Meanwhile someone else is out there doing it badly. Messy, unpolished, making mistakes in public that we'd never allow ourselves to make in private. And they're moving. Every mistake is teaching them something the research never could. They're two steps ahead not because they're smarter. Because they started.

An idiot in motion will always beat a genius at rest.

I think about this every time I catch myself over-preparing for something I actually just need to start. The plan gets more detailed. The launch gets pushed back another week. The perfecting never actually ends, because perfect was never a real destination, it was just a very convincing way to avoid the fear of doing it wrong in front of people.

Most successful people weren't the ones with the best plan. They were the ones who kept going after the plan fell apart, because they were already moving when it did. You can't course correct from standing still. You can only course correct in motion.

Being wrong while moving teaches you more in a week than being right in theory ever will in a year.

I'd rather be the idiot who's actually doing it.
